The Shirley J. Washington SurvivHer Scholarship Award
The Shirley J. Washington SurvivHER Scholarship is named after and in remembrance of Tanesha’s mom who lost her battle to breast cancer in May of 2016.
Shirley was not only a survivor time and time again, but also a shining example of resilience in the face of adversity. Her courageous battle against breast cancer left an indelible mark on all who knew her, inspiring others with her grace, dignity and unwavering spirit.
Each Spring, through the Shirley J. Washington SurvivHER Scholarship, we celebrate Shirley’s life, legacy and enduring impact on those around her. Her memory will forever serve as a testimony, source of strength and inspiration for all who are touched by her story.
T.I.T.T.S. believes in the transformative power of education and is committed to investing in future leaders, innovators, and change-makers within the Black community. We invite all eligible students to apply for the Shirley J. Washington SurvivHER Scholarship and continue to pursue their dreams and academic goals.
